Greensboro, North Carolina is on a mission to prove that people in different areas can work together to create more jobs and improve the local economy.
The area already has a
robust export business. Nearly 18 percent of the metro area’s gross domestic product is made up of exports, ranking the Triad fifth in the nation. Greensboro-High Point ranked 44th in the nation with
$6.5 billion in exports in 2010, according to the Brookings Institution, a research organization.
